The Yunwu Mountain leg of the 2026 Guiyang Ten Peaks Mountaineering Race took place on Oct 11 in Shuitian town, Wudang district, Guiyang, bringing together mountain running and trail enthusiasts from across China to test their endurance amid lush forests and rolling peaks.

One of Guiyang's designated Ten Peaks, Yunwu Mountain is known for its green ridges and mist-shrouded scenery. The race offered three distances – 25 kilometers, 15 km, and 5 km – with routes winding along ridgelines, through dense forests, and across rural landscapes. The varied terrain challenged runners while offering sweeping views of rugged peaks and secluded valleys.

Aid stations, medical points, and volunteer posts lined the routes to provide drinking water, food, and emergency assistance, helping ensure runners' safety throughout the event.

As a homegrown mass fitness event brand developed by Guiyang, the Ten Peaks Challenge continues to promote outdoor mountain sports and bring sports and tourism closer together.
