Guiyang Coffee FC edges Gui'an 3-2, retains City Super League title

The 2026 Guiyang City Super League final was held at Guiyang Olympic Sports Center on Sept 8, with Xingyuemao · Guiyang Coffee FC edging Gui'an Intelligent Computing FC 3-2 to retain the title.

Gui'an struck first in the fifth minute, its No 7 beating two defenders and finishing into the corner. Guiyang Coffee FC replied seven minutes later through its No 8 midfielder, who volleyed home a left-side cross, then converted a 19th-minute penalty to make it 2-1. Gui'an equalized in the 36th minute, its No 57 scoring from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Four minutes into the second half, a Guiyang free kick into a crowded box deflected off a Gui'an defender and in, putting Guiyang 3-2 up. Gui'an pressed late and created several chances, but Guiyang's goalkeeper held firm. The score stayed 3-2 until the final whistle.

"I'd give every player a 100," said Guiyang Coffee FC head coach Liu Fengyuan after the match. He said the team had prepared for Gui'an's physical style of play and stayed composed after falling behind. "Gui'an Intelligent Computing FC is a strong team and an opponent we truly respect."
