Seattle SCSC soccer team arrives in Guiyang for City Super League quarterfinals

The Seattle SCSC soccer team from the United States arrived in Guiyang aboard high-speed train G2946 on Sept 3 to compete in the 2026 Guiyang City Super League quarterfinals.

Upon arrival, the players were impressed by Guiyang's cool and pleasant weather and clean city environment. Guan Qinghua, team captain and player, said they were looking forward to experiencing the City Super League's passionate atmosphere, competing with amateur teams from across China, and sharing their love of soccer.

Beyond the matches, Guiyang's cool climate and local cuisine have also caught the team's attention. The players are eager to explore the city's food and scenery between games and experience its unique charm.

With 12 Chinese cities participating and an overseas team, the 2026 Guiyang City Super League is using soccer as a bridge for cross-city and international exchange, adding a new international dimension to the tournament.

Founded in 1970, Seattle SCSC has won the Seattle Kin On Soccer Tournament five times. All players on this trip are amateurs, with professions ranging from doctors and engineers to youth soccer coaches and website founders.
