The UIPM Pentathlon World Championships is one of the highest-level annual events organized by the International Modern Pentathlon Union. This year's competition features a new competition format, with the men's relay event completed ahead of the opening ceremony and its medalists honored at the event.
During the opening ceremony, volunteers carried signs bearing the names of participating countries as they entered the venue, while a promotional video showcased Guiyang's scenic mountains and lakes. Performances featuring traditional musical instruments and ethnic dances brought together Guizhou's cultural heritage and the energy of modern sport.
During the championships, Guiyang will host a market featuring specialty coffee, craft beer, and intangible cultural heritage products. Spectators can also enjoy hotel discounts, dining discounts, and free admission to the main entrance of 10 designated A-level scenic areas by presenting their event ticket stubs.
