Guiyang basketball teams shine at provincial games

The basketball competition of the public division of the 12th Guizhou Provincial Games concluded on July 27 in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture. Guiyang teams delivered an impressive performance, winning gold medals in both the women's 3x3 and women's 5x5 events, a silver medal in the men's open 5x5 event, and fourth place in the county-level 5x5 competition.

This year's tournament featured five events: men's and women's 3x3, men's and women's 5x5, and a county-level 5x5 competition.

Guiyang's women's team displayed strong discipline and composure throughout the tournament, from the group stage to the knockout rounds. They combined smooth offensive teamwork with solid defense, controlling the pace of the game and securing the championship.

In the highly competitive men's 5x5 event, Guiyang's players demonstrated determination and resilience, earning a well-deserved silver medal.
