The 2026 Guiyang Marathon is set to kick off at 7:00 am on June 14, with 25,000 runners across the full and half-marathon categories.
This year's event attracted a record 25,500 applicants and features 31 elite runners from China and abroad who will compete alongside top local athletes from Guizhou, including Cen Wanjiang, Ding Changqin, Guan Yousheng, and Wang Min.

Special "Guiyang Marathon trains" will be launched in cooperation with major cities such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Chongqing, along with free public transport and shuttle services.
A full-course medical rescue system will be established, featuring fixed medical stations, mobile emergency vehicles, professional first-aid runners, and volunteers, with coordinated support from multiple departments.
Robots will also take part in on-site services this year, with Honor brand robots "Shandian" and "Yuanqizai" providing interactive and assistive services, adding a new layer of technological experience to the event.
Race kits will feature a "Cool Guiyang" design with gradient patterns inspired by mountain mist, and medals will integrate Miao silver craftsmanship with modern technology, featuring an embedded chip, symbolizing the fusion of traditional culture and innovation.
