Guiyang to host running event during peach blossom season

The "Run in Guiyang · 2026 Eighth Yongle Peach Blossom Run" will kick off on March 21 in Nanming district, Guiyang city, inviting runners to enjoy spring as they race through blooming peach orchards.

To accommodate participants of all levels, the event will feature two parallel race routes designed for runners with varying experience.

The 5.20-kilometer route is ideal for couples, families with children, and running enthusiasts. The course is relatively flat and winds through areas where peach blossoms are in full bloom, allowing runners to enjoy the scenery rather than focus solely on speed. Along the way, participants can stop by fun photo spots such as a giant peach blossom photo frame, making the run a relaxed and playful spring outing.

For more experienced runners, the 13.14-kilometer route features several sloped sections that add an extra challenge. The number "13.14" sounds similar to a Chinese phrase meaning "for a lifetime", symbolizing enduring love and making the course especially meaningful for couples participating together.
