Xiuwen hosts three-day basketball invitational tournament

A basketball invitational tournament was held in Xiuwen county from Feb 25 to 27, bringing together eight teams from Qianxi, Jinsha, Xifeng and the host county.

On the opening day, the eight teams competed in group round-robin matches based on a draw. The games unfolded in full swing, with players showcasing skill, teamwork and competitive spirit.

The competition used a group round-robin points system, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the next round of the knockout stage. The top four teams received medals and prizes, including local agricultural specialties from the Bouyei ethnic group.

During the tournament, a series of traditional ethnic sporting activities, including crossbow shooting, were also held at the venue, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the event.
