Guiyang and Gui'an launch Spring Festival national fitness series

The 2026 Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Spring Festival National Fitness Series kicked off on Feb 7 at the Shiji Jinyuan Shopping Center Plaza in Guanshanhu district, and will run until early March.

The opening ceremony began with a lively lineup of performances, including cheerleading, lion dances, and street dance, followed by a series of competitions, including tug-of-war, with 20 teams competing in intense matchups.

A range of interactive games was also held, including jump rope challenges to see how many skips participants could complete in 30 seconds, picking up ping-pong balls with chopsticks, and traditional shuttlecock kicking.

In addition to the main venue at Shiji Jinyuan Shopping Center Plaza, fitness demonstrations and hands-on experience activities will also take place at Yueran Plaza, Longyue Community, and Guanshan Community, further enriching residents' Spring Festival holiday experiences.
