Trail running race held in Gui'an New Area

The "Run Guiyang 2025: Cool Guiyang, Digital Valley Gui'an" Fitness Trail Running Race was held on Nov 30 in Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, attracting nearly 500 runners eager to enjoy outdoor sports amid scenic landscapes.

Jointly hosted by the Guiyang bureau of sports and the Gui'an New Area bureau of social undertakings, the race featured three categories: the Xingyue Group (22 kilometers), the Yueliang Group (12 km), and the Fun Run Group (3.3 km). Starting from Yueliang Lake Park at 9 am, participants competed along fitness trails featuring views of Yueliang Lake and Xingyue Lake.

Runners included professional trail running enthusiasts, residents, and family groups. The Fun Run Group provided family participants with an opportunity to participate together and experience the joy of outdoor sports.

Built on the "Cool Guiyang, Digital Valley Gui'an" fitness trail system, the race showcased Guiyang's charm as a mountainous city while helping to promote national fitness.

Gui'an has continued to improve public fitness programs, develop local outdoor sports events and promote the integration of sports and cultural tourism, injecting new vitality into urban development.
