Guo Hanyu clinched the women's singles title at the 2025 ITF World Tennis Tour Guiyang Open on Sept 14. The final took place at the Jinyang Tennis Center, where she defeated fellow Chinese player Zhu Lin 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 in front of more than 400 spectators.
This marked Guo's second Guiyang Open championship, following her victory in 2023.
The match began at 10 am, with Guo quickly finding her rhythm through powerful serves and aggressive baseline play. She seized an early break in the third game, extending her lead to 3-1, and maintained dominance with further breaks in the fourth and sixth games. Closing out the deciding set 6-1, she secured the crown with confidence and composure.
Speaking after the match, Guo expressed her excitement. "Guiyang is truly my lucky place. Winning the title here again and qualifying for next year's Australian Open is such a joy. Each time I return, I feel the tournament's organization and atmosphere improving, and more and more people here are falling in love with tennis," she said.
