2025 Guiyang Marathon welcomes global runners

The Mengniu Guiyang Marathon, third station of the 2025 Colorful Guizhou Marathon Super League, kicked off on June 15 at the Guiyang International Conference & Exhibition Center.

Over 35,000 runners from 26 countries and regions, including Singapore, Kenya, the United Kingdom, and Australia, along with participants from 34 Chinese provinces and regions, gathered in Guiyang to experience the "Cool Guiyang" charm.

This year's race, themed "Cool Guiyang, Leading in Ecology", featured four events: a full marathon, a half-marathon, a 10-kilometer run, and a fun run. The route passed through some of Guiyang's most iconic green spaces, including Guanshanhu Park, Yueshanhu Wetland Park, and Guiyang Karst Park.

Intangible cultural heritage performances along the course added to the festive atmosphere, including the Dong ethnic group's Grand Song, the 600-year-old Gaotai Dixi opera, and the Miao people's traditional Fanpai wooden drum dance. Food stations and roadside concerts also provided runners with a rich cultural experience and a taste of Guiyang's vibrant spirit.

Recognized as a World Athletics Elite Label Road Race, the 2025 Guiyang Marathon has become a vibrant symbol of international friendship and openness. As the third stop of the 2025 Colorful Guizhou Marathon Super League, it's more than just a sporting event – it's a window into Guizhou's image, ecological environment, and development momentum.
