In May, the Guiyang bureau of culture and tourism hosted the Guiyang Culture and Tourism Promotion Week in South Korea. The campaign combined media outreach, international exhibitions, and university collaborations across Seoul, Busan, and Jeju to promote Guiyang's unique cultural and tourism offerings.

The event launched on May 19 at the Confucius Institute of Cheju Halla University, where Lee Hyun Kyung, deputy general manager of the new media platform HiChinaTravel, gave a talk titled "Welcome to Cool Guiyang" to students and faculty, introducing Guiyang's distinctive tourism offerings.

From May 19 to 24, a series of travel products under the theme "Explore Colorful Guizhou, Starting from Guiyang" were showcased at the Busan World Culture and Tourism Festival, attracting attention from international travel agents. The campaign also included campus promotions at Dong-Eui University and Dong-A University, strengthening ties with South Korean academic institutions.

A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a framework agreement with South Korea's HSK Affairs Office, which is aimed at fostering cooperation in cultural tourism promotion and educational exchanges.

This initiative brought together government agencies, professional organizations, global conventions and exhibitions, and top universities to attract South Korean students and Chinese language learners. The campaign effectively boosted awareness of Guiyang as a vibrant destination for tourism, study, and cultural exchanges.
