Qingzhen's Jurassic Dinotown lights up winter with lantern and fireworks festival

Jurassic Dinotown in Qingzhen county-level city, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, unveiled its "Magical Lantern Season & Fireworks Art Festival" on Dec 28, 2024, adding a dash of wonder and romance to Guiyang's winter tourism scene.

As darkness fell, the enchanting lighting ceremony revealed 24 sets of dazzling lantern displays, transforming the town into a luminous wonderland. Dinosaur-themed lanterns, meticulously crafted and perfectly integrated with photo spots, created a magical atmosphere that captivated visitors.

Adding to the spectacle were vibrant parades and colorful floats. Performers in elaborate costumes danced alongside intricately decorated floats, their rhythmic movements filling the air with festive cheer. The highlight of the evening was a breathtaking fire pot performance, where performers danced gracefully amid flames symbolizing hope and unity, eliciting much enthusiasm from the crowd.

"The atmosphere here is amazing! The lights and surroundings are absolutely stunning," shared visitor Yang Xingyu. "I'm already planning to return before the winter holiday. It's perfect for photos and full of fun activities."

The festival runs until Feb 17, 2025, with daily entertainment activities kicking off at 6 pm. Visitors can look forward to a spectacular lineup, including fireworks displays, petal showers, aerial acrobatics, and mesmerizing fire dances.
