Guanshanhu Park in Guiyang hosts outdoor table tennis event

The Guanshanhu Park sub-event of the 2024 China Table Tennis Association's Inaugural Outdoor Table Tennis Series kicked off on Nov 2 in Guanshanhu Park, Guiyang, amid vibrant autumn scenery.

As the third event in the Guiyang series, the tournament has seen growing excitement, drawing 881 table tennis enthusiasts to participate and showcasing the immense passion for the sport among Guiyang's residents.

Guanshanhu Park, known for its beautiful setting surrounded by hills and water, is a popular spot for locals to relax and enjoy leisure activities and a must-visit attraction for tourists in Guiyang.

The competition was lively and fierce. Cheers from spectators filled the air, heightening the event's excitement. Mr Du, a participant working at a financial institution near the park, shared his enthusiasm, "Playing here with so many fellow table tennis lovers is fantastic. It's not just great exercise but also a chance to make new friends."

This event has enhanced the development of a more advanced public fitness system in Guiyang and broadened table tennis participation, fostering greater popularity for the sport.
