Guiyang outdoor table tennis event promotes national fitness

Guiyang hosted an outdoor table tennis exchange event to further promote the national fitness movement on Sept 28, attracting nearly 500 table tennis enthusiasts and local residents.

Known as China's national sport, table tennis is a traditional sport with deep cultural roots and a broad public base. In recent years, Guiyang has actively promoted the development of the sport by continuously organizing a series of events, including city-wide fitness table tennis competitions.

The event was open for registration to the entire city, providing citizens with a platform to showcase their skills and engage in friendly competition.

Guiyang is also expanding the locations for sporting events beyond stadiums to include scenic areas, sports parks, commercial centers, and pedestrian streets, bringing sports closer to people's daily lives.
