Street dance, fencing competitions energize Guiyang

The "Run, Youth" 2024 Guizhou Youth Street Dance Open Competition and Guiyang's Second Youth Championship took place on Oct 1 at Wanda Plaza in Yunyan district, Guiyang city.

Performing handstands, jumps, and spins, the dancers showcased impressive moves, captivating audiences with their creativity and the dynamic beats of street dance.

"I love that the event is held in a mall. It is convenient for kids to compete and for families to shop and relax during the holiday," shared Ms Wang, a local resident.

The street dance competition was just one of many exciting sports events in Guiyang and Gui'an, as the region hosted its "Golden Week of Sports Events" during the National Day holiday. On the same day, the 2024 Guiyang Fencing Open Competition launched at the Shuanglong Ecological Sports Center, featuring intense duels.

The "Fun Play Cup" Youth Table Tennis Open Competition added a lively touch on Oct 3 at Baiyun district's Fun Play Mall, where young talents demonstrated their skills in a joyful atmosphere.

These events blend culture, tourism, and sports, showcasing Guiyang's vibrant energy. As locals and tourists enjoy the competitions, they also explore the city's scenic beauty, creating a unique experience of traveling with sports.
