ITF World Tennis Tour Guiyang Open concludes

A passionate crowd gathered at the Guiyang Tennis Center to witness the thrilling conclusion to the 2024 ITF World Tennis Tour Guiyang Open on Sept 22. The men's singles final saw top seed Skander Mansouri Dugaz of Tunisia take on second seed Ruan Roelofse Van Wyk of South Africa. After an intense battle, Dugaz claimed victory with a 7-6, 6-1 win, securing his third ITF singles title of the season.

The first set was a closely contested battle, with both players holding their serves and reaching a 6-6 tie.

In the decisive tiebreaker, Dugaz's powerful offense broke through Van Wyk's defense, allowing him to take the lead with a 7-4 win. Riding on this momentum, Dugaz dominated the second set with strong serves and baseline attacks, while Van Wyk struggled to recover from the first set loss.

Ultimately, Dugaz claimed the second set 6-1, securing the men's singles title at the event.

The ITF World Tennis Tour Guiyang Open has now come to a successful end. After 15 days and 147 matches, Guiyang once again demonstrated its competence in hosting international tennis events, leaving players and fans alike eager for next year's competition.
