Chinese athletes crowned champions at Guiyang intl tennis open

The 2024 ITF World Tennis Tour Guiyang Open women's doubles final on Sept 14 was an exhilarating match. Feng Shuo and Ye Qiuyu triumphed over fellow Chinese duo Li Zongyu and Shi Han with a score of 7-3, 6-3.

The first set was tightly contested, leading to a tense tiebreak that saw Feng and Ye secure 7-3 with their consistent play and sharp decision-making. Building on their success, they established an early lead in the second set, ultimately sealing the match with a 6-3 victory.

A "Tennis in the Community" event followed the awards ceremony. The Guiyang Tennis Management Center and the local Party branch collaborated to engage residents, allowing Feng and Ye to share their skills and passion for the sport with the audience.

The 2024 ITF World Tennis Tour Guiyang Open, organized by the China Tennis Association, the Guizhou Sports Bureau, and the Guiyang municipal people's government, is the sixth high-profile international tennis event held in Guiyang.

The tournament began on Sept 8 and lasts for 15 days. It features women's and men's singles and doubles categories and has drawn 214 professional players from 40 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Germany, Australia, and France.
