Mountain bike race energizes sports atmosphere in Guiyang

Guiyang hosted the Adult Mountain Bike Open and the "Run, Youth" 2024 Guiyang Youth Mountain Bike Championships on July 21, with a total of 249 athletes participating.

The youth categories included men's and women's Olympic cross-country races for children aged 10-12 years (10 kilometers), 13-15 years (15 km), and 16-18 years (20 km). The adult categories featured cross-country races for men and women aged 19-45 years (20 km) and 46-65 years (15 km).

This event is part of a series of national fitness activities launched by Guiyang, aiming to build a higher-level public fitness service system and enhance residents' well-being.

Cycling is popular due to the spirit of friendly competition among athletes, health benefits, and integration of fitness and travel.
