Guizhou athletes excel in national cycling event

The 2024 China University & College Cycling Challenge took place in Guiyang from May 11 to 13, with Guizhou athletes excelling in various categories of the mountain cross-country race.

The event attracted over 300 athletes from 56 universities across the country.

Hosted by the China School Sports Federation, the event featured three main competitions: a mountain cross-country race, a road race, and a lap race on a track and field, held on May 11, 12, and 13, respectively. Additionally, a children's balance bike exhibition match and an extreme obstacle exhibition match were held concurrently.

Guizhou athletes excelled in the mountain cross-country events, securing the top three positions in categories such as the men's Olympic cross-country, women's Olympic cross-country, men's cross-country elimination race, and women's cross-country team race.

Moreover, in the lap race on the track and field, Liu Qiong from Guizhou City Vocational College in Guiyang secured third place in the women's 400-meter elimination race.
