Guiyang athletes win glory at Asian event

The 2024 Asian Mountain Bike Championships was held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, on May 8. Athletes Wang Sheng and Yang Mingxue, trained in Guiyang city, won the gold medal in the team relay event. They secured the first gold medal for the Chinese delegation in this edition of the Asian Mountain Bike Championships.

Guiyang city is located in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The victorious Chinese mountain biking team was jointly established by the Chinese Cycling Association and the Guizhou Sports Bureau.

Three athletes from Guizhou are part of the Chinese mountain biking training team, namely Mi Jiujang, Wang Sheng, and Yang Mingxue. They teamed up with athletes Wu Zhifan, Qin Shaochao, and Wang Ting, who are from Yunnan, Heilongjiang, and Gansu provinces, respectively.
