Guiyang builds up its soccer atmosphere

The "Run, Youngsters" 2024 Guiyang City Youth Soccer Championship kicked off on the soccer field of Guiyang Healthcare Vocational University on April 27.

The aim of this competition was to cultivate young soccer talents, promote the development of soccer in Guiyang, and showcase the youthful vitality of contemporary young people.

The event adopted the latest soccer competition rules that were approved by the Chinese Soccer Association. In the group stage, teams earned three points for winning a match, one point for ending a match in a draw, and no points for losing a match. After the group stage, teams were ranked based on their points, and the top teams proceeded to the crossover match stage.

A total of 47 teams representing schools or clubs throughout the city, comprising 1,081 athletes, participated in the competition. On the day of the event, each team quickly found their rhythm and displayed excellent competitive spirit.

The opening match took place on the soccer field of Guiyang Healthcare Vocational University, where Guiyang's Guanshanhu First Senior High School Team faced off against the Kaiyang County First High School Team. The two teams showcased outstanding football skills and teamwork, earning rounds of applause from the spectators.
