The Guiyang leg of the China Youth Tennis Tour officially kicked off at the Guiyang Tennis Sports Management Center in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 22.

The event was meant to serve as a fair and open competitive platform for young tennis enthusiasts and to promote the integrated development of sports and tourism among regions through sporting events.

The Guiyang leg of the China Youth Tennis Tour A1500 (CTJ-A1500) is divided into two age groups, U12 and U14, with a total of four stations. This week marks the first competition of the CTJ-A1500 U12 in Guiyang, with over 100 young athletes from all over the country participating.

The competition consists of four categories, including boys' singles, girls' singles, boys' doubles, and girls' doubles, presided over by National Chief Referees Li Chen and Huang Min.

Additionally, as the host city for the month-long event, Guiyang has attracted many participating athletes and their families with its beautiful natural environment and rich tourist attractions. In their free time, they visited the city's famous historical sites and experienced the local culture.

The event provides a platform for young people from various regions to showcase and compare their tennis skills, further promoting the development of tourism in Guiyang.
