Guiyang Sports School sees construction progress

On March 2, Professor Liu Mingyi from Wuhan Sports University, along with Ma Huaiping, vice president of Guiyang Sports School, went to the new site of the Guiyang Sports School to conduct inspections and investigate construction progress.

The new site of Guiyang Sports School will be located in Longchang town, Xiuwen county, Guiyang city, and will cover an area of 508 mu (33.87 hectares). This project includes teaching and training buildings, library and administrative buildings, student dormitories, teacher apartments, cafeterias and bathrooms, swimming pools, a comprehensive training hall, a shooting training hall, track and field stadiums, and outdoor sports facilities.

Currently, construction is progressing smoothly, and the project is expected to be completed and put into use by March 2025.

Additionally, Liu has deeply analyzed the problem of amateur training in China. To help solve existing issues, he organized a training session where he explained the responsibilities of coaches to the attendees. He also spoke on coaching philosophies, training systems, and capacity building at the session.
