The 14th National Winter Games concluded in Hulunbuir city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Feb 27. The Guizhou provincial delegation achieved eight gold medals, three silver medals, and four bronze medals, as well as the "Sportsmanship Award" at the event.

This National Winter Games marked the first time Guizhou participated as a team, with a total of 54 athletes competing in the finals, making history in winter sports for Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Guizhou athletes, including Fei Xueqing and Xie Xingyin, collaborated with their teammates to secure the championship in the curling event. Guo Qianyi won gold in snowboarding obstacle chasing. Tan Si'ting and Zhao Zeyuan secured a bronze medal in mixed doubles curling (youth group).

The 14th National Winter Games is the first comprehensive national winter sports event held in China since the Beijing Winter Olympics in February 2022, with over 3,000 athletes from 35 delegations participating.

This winter game's competition programs aligned comprehensively with the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics. It featured eight major categories, including ice skating, skiing, winter biathlon, curling, ice hockey, bobsleigh, skeleton, and ski mountaineering.
