Guiyang holds skiing open

From Feb 5 to 6, the "Yunding Cup" Skiing Open was held at Guiyang Yunding Ski Resort in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province. This icy extravaganza attracted numerous skiing experts and enthusiasts.

The competition featured various events, including a youth dual-board slalom, an adult single-board parallel slalom, and family-friendly dual-board fun races. These events cater to amateurs and professional athletes alike.

Besides the intense skiing competitions, the event also organized a series of cultural exchanges and tourism promotion activities. These activities included skiing skill training and winter tourism exhibitions, providing participants and spectators with a diverse skiing experience.

This competition marked the first winter ice and snow event held by Huaxi district. It aimed not only to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and foster a strong atmosphere for nationwide fitness, but also it also strives to develop new ice and snow sports projects as well as innovative winter tourism activities.
