Since 2023, in an effort to enhance the physical fitness and happiness index of the local public, the Guiyang sports bureau has systematically deployed initiatives in fitness facilities and sports-education integration. The bureau's focus is on constructing a higher-level public service system for national fitness.

It was reported that in 2023, the bureau held 265 national fitness events, with approximately 170,000 participants. The 2023 Guiyang Marathon alone attracted 25,000 participants from 32 countries and regions.

Throughout the year, Guiyang city completed the construction of 200 national fitness projects, creating approximately 170 kilometers of citywide fitness trails and adding around 300,000 square meters of sports facilities.

Simultaneously, the bureau implemented the "sports+" model, helping to organize sports events in schools, communities, and shopping malls. Through event-driven strategies, this approach connects various consumption elements such as culture, sports, tourism, environmental protection, and cuisine, thus creating resonance between sports and business.
