New Year run sees over 10,000 participants

The 53rd Guiyang and Guian "Welcome the New Year" Run took place in Guanshanhu district on Jan 1, with over 10,000 participants. The total length of the race was 5 kilometers.

"This event is very meaningful, and there are a lot of participants this year. The atmosphere is very lively, creating a positive environment for citizens who want to exercise and participate in national fitness activities," said resident Qu Anyu.

As one of the most influential national fitness events in Guiyang, the event had a main venue and several sub-venues, making it the largest in scale in recent years.

With a history of 53 years, this event not only carries the running memories of Guiyang residents, but also reflects Guiyang's active promotion of national fitness.

In the new year, the Guiyang bureau of sports will strive to accelerate the construction of its fitness facilities, enrich its national fitness events, and continuously meet the fitness needs of the public.
