The fourth Asian Para Games is currently taking place in Hangzhou – capital city of East China's Zhejiang province – and it will wrap up on Oct 28.

A total of 14 athletes, three coaches and three support staff members from Southwest China's Guizhou province were selected to join the Chinese team.

Guizhou athletes compete in three major disciplines, covering badminton, swimming and shooting. The delegation includes eight swimmers, three badminton players and three shooting athletes – making it the largest contingent of Guizhou athletes and the most extensive range of events in the history of the Asian Para Games.

Leading up to the games, Chinese media conducted visits to the training camps for the country's badminton and swimming teams, which featured dedicated Guizhou athletes preparing for their events.

In the fourth Asian Para Games, swimming competitions are categorized into three types: physical disabilities, visual disabilities and intellectual disabilities. Each category is further divided based on the extent of disability. Guizhou's Cai Liwen, who achieved gold at the Tokyo Paralympics, has visual disabilities and is competing in four different swimming events.
