Guiyang athletes shine at provincial mountain bike event

The Guizhou Youth Mountain Bike Championship was held in Qiannan from Aug 1 to 3. More than 100 athletes from six delegations from various cities in Guizhou participated. A total of 24 athletes from Guiyang competed and won six gold medals, nine silver medals, and five bronze medals.

This competition consisted of four events, including an Olympic cross-country race, time trial, off-road race, and team relay. The Guiyang delegation registered for all the events.

Mountain bike racing in Guiyang has developed rapidly in recent years. Outstanding athletes such as Wang Sheng, Xiang Minghao, and Yang Mingxue have joined the national or Guizhou provincial mountain bike teams for training and have won championships in national competitions representing Guizhou province.

Guiyang has actively expanded the reserve of talent in mountain bike racing and strives to achieve good results in the 12th Guizhou Provincial Games.
