Guiyang issues discount coupons for fitness and sports

In order to accelerate the promotion of national fitness and sports consumption, Guiyang sports bureau is issuing 55,000 discount coupons – worth 1.5 million yuan ($205,912) – for use in the sports and fitness industries.

The coupons issued this time are divided into two categories. The first type has a face value of 100 yuan, and can be used when consumption exceeds 300 yuan; the second coupon has a face value of 20 yuan and can be directly deducted off any purchase.

Residents can receive the coupons via the WeChat account of the Guiyang sports bureau, and spend them at designated venues across the city.

There are 47 kinds of sports venues in the city supporting the coupon campaign, including soccer fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, table tennis halls, badminton halls, billiards halls, martial arts venues, taekwondo dojos, swimming pools, fencing venues, yoga studios and more.

Through the issuance of coupons, the city will effectively increase the number of people who regularly participate in physical exercise, and also improve the utilization rate of sports venues, thus invigorating the sports consumption market.
