Guiyang, Xi'an to build summer training base

At the promotion meeting of Guiyang and Guian New Area's avoiding summer heat activities held in Xi'an on July 4, Xi'an sports bureau and Guiyang sports bureau signed a cooperation agreement. The two sides promise to build a summer sub-plateau training base in Guiyang jointly.

With a balmy average temperature of approximately 23 C, Guiyang provides an ideal climate for individuals engaged in physically demanding sports such as rowing, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. In addition to the relief from the oppressive heat, the salubrious environment offers an optimal setting for physical recuperation.

The two sides are set to cultivate Xi'an competitive sports talents by establishing the base, promoting the development of the Guiyang sports industry, and realizing the joint development of their sports undertakings.

According to the agreement, the two sides are set to take the new campus of Guiyang Sports Middle School, Guiyang Olympic Sports Center, Guiyang Tennis Hall, and so on as the basis to construct the base.

Correspondingly, the Xi'an sports bureau is set to support the Guiyang sports bureau in competitive sports advantage projects, sports research, scientific training, coach training, and other aspects.

Imbued with expertise and an unyielding commitment to sporting excellence, the Xi'an bureau is poised to lead a contingent of athletes embarking on a multifaceted odyssey encompassing the domains of track and field, swimming, shooting, wrestling, and a panoply of more than 10 illustrious sporting disciplines. Each summer, these athletes shall converge upon the base, diligently engaging in rigorous training regimens meticulously tailored to hone their skills, fortify their resolve, and pave the way towards resounding triumph.

In addition, the two sides are expected to jointly establish high-level sports teams in wrestling, diving, and other events at the base, select outstanding sports talents from Xi'an and Guiyang, and carry out sports training at the base.
