Guiyang integrates sports activities with shopping festival

A press conference for the Cool Guiyang Shopping Festival was held in Guiyang on May 15. Yang Hai, deputy director of Guiyang bureau of sports, introduced the work being undertaken related to sports-themed activities for the festival.

Guiyang will hand out 55,000 sports coupons worth 1.5 million yuan ($215,385). The coupons will be divided into two types: the first is worth 100 yuan and can be used with a minimum spend of 300 yuan; the second is worth 20 yuan and can be used with any purchases.

The general public can get the coupons through the official WeChat account of Guiyang bureau of sports, and they can be used for fitness-related consumption in designated venues in the city.

The city will hold some sports activities in a local shopping mall, such as the Guiyang Open Rope Jump for Adults and the break dance tryouts for the Guiyang delegation for the first National Student (Youth) Games. The goal is to attract more public participation through sporting events, as well as to enhance the popularity of the mall itself.

Taking the opportunity of this shopping festival, Guiyang will promote the integration of sports and business, further meet the needs of young consumers, and promote the upgrading of the sports industry.
