Guiyang holds swimming event

The 2023 national fitness swimming event was held in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 2.

They saw the participation of 16 winter swimming performance teams from Guiyang winter swimming teams, winter swimming clubs from districts and counties, and swimming associations.

In the end, the Wudang district swimming association won the first-place prize, the Qingzhen swimming association and Huaxi Pingqiao team won the second-place prize, and the Yunyan Qianling Lake team, Aha Lake National Wetland Park team and Xiuwen county swimming association won the third-place prize.

This event aims to give swimming lovers the chance to learn from each other as well as give full play to the role of sports events in enriching people's lives.

"This year is my 31st year of winter swimming. Swimming has not only enriched my retirement, but more importantly, kept me healthy," said Meng Zexing, leader of the Huaxi Pingqiao team.
