Guiyang promotes national fitness

During the 2023 Guiyang municipal sports work conference and the promotional meeting for building a model city of national sports and fitness on March 4, it was revealed that Guiyang will implement the national fitness strategy this year and become a national model city of national sports and fitness.

This year, Guiyang will accelerate the construction of all-age, intelligent, and community-based sports infrastructure, build 27 multi-functional sports fields, 15 intelligent fitness stations, 66 national fitness path projects, and 10 village fitness squares in the city, and complete the construction of 82 sets of fitness facilities.

No less than 200 national fitness events at all levels were held in the city throughout the year, including the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week E-Sports International Invitational Tournament and Guiyang Marathon.

Additionally, to further deepen the integrated development of sports and tourism, Guiyang will actively develop sports and local events focusing on consumption, such as auto and motorcycle sports, extreme sports, dry land ice and snow sports, and e-sports.
