Guiyang tennis player triumphs in Malaysia

The second stop of the Women's ITF World Tennis Tour held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, came to an end on Feb 26 and Guo Hanyu, with the Guiyang Tennis Professional Team, celebrated victory in the singles and doubles titles.  

In the singles final, Guo defeated the Japanese players by 6:4 and 6:3. In the doubles final, Li Yuyun and Guo teamed up to win the match.  

"Because of the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, I have not participated in international tennis events in the past three years. I cherished the opportunity to participate in the international arena," she said in a post-match interview.

"This time I was in a stable state of mind and just wanted to cherish every chance of the game, so I got a good result," she added.
