Baiyun integrates sports and education

On Feb 12, the final whistle signaled the end of the first "Baiyun Cup" primary school soccer competition in 2023. It also marked the successful end of the first competition that integrated both sports and education in Baiyun district this year.

The soccer competition lasted seven days. There were 26 teams from primary schools and soccer clubs in Baiyun district, with more than 200 athletes participating.

This successful competition created a happy atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on physical fitness in Baiyun district. It also promoted the well-round development and healthy growth of students, and further stimulated interest in soccer.

Next, Baiyun district will continue to strengthen sports-education integration through further supporting school sports, improving youth sports events, strengthening the cultivation of reserve talents for competitive sports, deepening the construction of amateur sports schools, as well as promoting the healthy development of social sports organizations.
