Guiyang, Guian to promote development of sports

Guiyang and Guian in Southwest China's Guizhou province have vowed to promote the development of sports as a way to increase the sense of fulfillment and happiness among locals, local media reported.

Guiyang, the provincial capital, and Guian, a national-level new development zone in the province, have unveiled new blueprints for their sports development in 2023.

According to the blueprint, they will organize youth athletes to make preparations for the 12th Guizhou Provincial Sports Games and the first National Students (Youth) Games to be held in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

They will also work to upgrade sports facilities and organize a series of fitness activities to promote a healthy lifestyle and improve public health.

In addition, they will advance the construction of an intelligent sports information service platform and promote the coordinated development of sports and tourism.
