Basketball drives rural vitalization in Guiyang village

To promote cultural and sports activities in villages, and to integrate national fitness and rural vitalization, Nanmudu town – located in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – held its 17th "Rural Vitalization" Cup, a Spring Festival basketball competition, on Jan 24.

The Guiyang "Hundred Villages Basketball Game" held its launch ceremony on the same day.

15 teams from various counties participated in the three-day competition. The fierce atmosphere attracted crowds to watch the games through to the final round.
