Air volleyball event comes to an end

Nov 20 was the final day of the air volleyball match of the 14th Guiyang Games. During the two-day competition, 120 athletes from 17 teams gave it their all.

The 17 teams staged 36 exciting matches through the grouping round robin competition system.

In the end, the team from Nanming district won the championship in the men's air volleyball and the team from the Shuanglong Airport Development Zone won the championship in the women's team category.

According to reports, compared with competitive volleyball, air volleyball is suitable for all ages because of the soft ball and small field. The oldest contestant in the event was 59 years old and the youngest was 18 years old.

The Guiyang sports bureau plans to train a group of highly-professional social sports guides with social organizations to further promote the development of sports in Guiyang.
