The first group of 188 schools in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province opened their sports venues to the public for free on Nov 14, reports Guiyang Daily.
The 188 schools include Guizhou Electronic Technology College, Guiyang University, and Guiyang Nursing Vocational College.
The sports venues are mainly open to students at the school, residents of surrounding communities, and employees of government agencies, enterprises and institutions.
Before entering the schools to exercise, an appointment should be made according to the individual school's sports venue reservation system.
The schools will admit visitors according to venue capacity and verify the identity and physical health of visitors according to the resident information provided by the communities.
According to the city's plan, more school sports venues will open to the public for free in the future, and sports venues at a total of 844 schools will be open to the public by March 1, 2022.
