Athletes from Southwest China's Guizhou province won three gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the recently-concluded 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the eighth National Special Olympic Games, according to local media reports.
In the men's SB6 100-meter breaststroke finals, Yang Hong broke the national record with a time of 1:20.53 and won the gold medal.
In the women's SB6 100-meter breaststroke finals, Guizhou athletes Liu Daomin and He Shenggao won first and second place with times of 1:34.66 and 1:40.36 respectively, claiming the gold and silver medals.
In the afternoon match, Cai Liwen broke the national record in the women's S11 100-meter butterfly stroke final in 1:16.34 and won the silver medal.
