Shuai Changwen, an athlete from Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, won gold with a time of 45.397 seconds in the women's 200-meter single canoe sprint at the 14th National Games on Sept 23.
Shuai was born in Huaxi district in 2000. In 2013, she was selected by the Guiyang Sports Middle School to enter the Guiyang Water Sports (canoe) team for training and started a career as a professional athlete.
During her training at the Guiyang Sports Middle School, Shuai represented Guiyang and Guizhou in various provincial and domestic competitions.
In 2018, Shuai entered the Guizhou Provincial Aquatic Center to train in canoe sprinting. Since 2018, she has achieved excellent results in a series of competitions.
