Leaders of the Guiyang bureau of sports visited Guiyang Health Investment Group Co on Aug 26, led by Huang Jun, deputy director of the bureau, to discuss physical-medical integration work.

Xiao Jianbo, general manager of Guiyang Health Investment Group Co, said that the company holds controlling interests in seven firms involved in medical care, drugs, stock delivery and retail, hospital logistics, and health maintenance. He also mentioned the company's move during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) – to boost its health service sector by cultivating elderly care, health management, and intelligent medical services, and open more intelligent convenience chain drug stores.

Huang pointed out that efforts are needed to explore new health promotion models that involve coordination between different government bodies and the engagement of everyone in society. He stressed the importance of turning retired athletes into blue-collar workers.

The bureau encouraged the launch of fitness outpatient services at community medical institutions, which collect people's fitness data and offer body building guidance to people.

Huang also called for joint efforts in elderly and children's care.
