The 3rd Guiyang Setting-up Exercise Competition kicked off on June 29 in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The event will last until July 1.
A total of 3,150 people on 184 teams from districts, county-level cities and counties of Guiyang participated in the competition.
The competition was divided into three groups for kindergarten children, primary school students and adults.
After the opening ceremony, the kindergarten children's group competition was held. The participating teams competed in order and showed their commitment to fitness to the audience through a dynamic dance.

"Setting-up exercise is a sport that combines gymnastics, music and dance to pursue human health and beauty, and it meets the fitness needs of different groups of people," said Yang Hai, deputy head of Guiyang bureau of sports.
Through the establishment of an event platform, the competition aims to highlight the unique charm of the setting-up exercise culture and allow more citizens to participate in sports and fitness.
It also aims to effectively promote the integrated development of sports and education in Guiyang and lay a foundation for the city's sports talent reserve.
